One of my clients, Angie Christensen, posted this on Facebook today, and with her permission I post it here. I think it’s incredibly insightful and something everyone marketing their expertise online would do well to understand:
“In recovering from my business identity crisis this week, I learned something about creating with God. I learned that I have truly created something, because it is purely me. 100%. It is a true reflection of my experiences, knowledge, impressions, and personality.
“It wasn’t made to please someone, but is a genuine expression of who I am. It couldn’t have come from anyone else on the planet. God loves that! I gave life to something that didn’t exist anywhere in the universe before and is an extension of who I am.
“Like any parent, He celebrates that and wants to hang my creation on His fridge, because it is mine and I am His. No matter what else happens, the fact that I learned to truly create will stand, and He smiles with joy at that. That perspective is also helping me look at others’ creations in a whole new light!”
