Marnie Pehrson's Bio

Short Bio (69 words)

Marnie Pehrson is a best-selling author, speaker, certified SimplyHealedTM practitioner, and online publicist who shows you how to ignite your WOW! At her site, IgnitePoint.com, she's gathered a team of experts to provide knowledge, community and resources to show Light Bearers how to package, promote, and create "WOW" platforms for their messages. Marnie is also a wife and mother of 6 and the author of 23 fiction and nonfiction titles.

What Is a Light Bearer?

A Light Bearer is a wise, intuitive Inspired Creative who lovingly lights the way for others. A Light Bearer is passionate about assisting people in breaking free from bondage to ultimate freedom (whether the chains are of one's own making, generational or inflicted by others). They are courageous leaders for not only the rising generation but also for lifelong learners of any age.  Find out more about being a Light Bearer in Marnie's new book, Light the World: How Your Brilliance Can Shift the Planet.

Longer Bio

To say Marnie Pehrson is prolific would be an understatement. She is a mother of six and a bestselling author with ten fiction novels and thirteen nonfiction titles under her belt.

Through her flagship site, IgnitePoint.com, she's gathered a team of experts to provide knowledge, community and resources that show Light Bearers how to package, promote, and create "WOW" platforms for their messages.

Both of her recent books Trust Your Heart: Transform Your Ideas Into Income and Trust Your Heart: Building Relationships That Build Your Business reached #1 in multiple Amazon categories as well as Amazon's #1 Mover Shakers.

Marnie's gift is combining the inspiration of heaven with the practicality of earth. Her latest book, "Light the World: How Your Brilliance Can Shift the Planet" is her manifesto for what she calls the Light the World Movement. Marnie believes that a world-shift is underway and that we stand at a crossroads. One path leads to freedom and light while the other leads to oppression and darkness. A small proportion of individuals will determine the direction of the planetary shift. Historically, only 3-5% of the population are involved in shifts toward more force or more freedom (which occur approximately every century). The masses are either oblivious or do not care. Marnie is gathering and promoting Light-Bearers to insure that the coming world shift is a positive one. (See Light Bearer definition above).

Marnie Pehrson has been highlighting truth and talent for nearly 16 years. Whether she's writing a novel that spotlights individuals who've made a difference in the world or helping a talented entrepreneur create a platform for his life's work, Marnie's life is about underscoring truth and talent in innovative and compelling ways.

In October 2012, Marnie began the process of shutting down her flagship site, IdeaMarketers.com, which served the article and content marketing community for 14 years. Taking a bold leap of faith, she decided to pursue her passion and rebrand IdeaMarketers into IgnitePoint.com. IgnitePoint is a resource community that shows Light Bearers how to ignite their WOW. She's brought together at least two dozen of her most trusted business colleagues to teach Light Bearers how to bring their heavenly messages down to earth in practical ways. The goal being, to work together to collectively shift the planet toward more freedom and light.

Marnie's Story

Marnie started her home business back in 1990 as a way to stay home with her two small children. She started out as a computer trainer, teaching people software from her home. Her students began telling their employers about her and she moved into on-site training, consulting and program. In 1994 she wrote How to Run a Computer Training Business and began marketing it on AOL and Compuserve.

By 1996, she and a friend (Alanna Webb) opened the first online mall. In 1998, Marnie combined her love for writing with her knack for marketing to create IdeaMarketers.com which was the longest running content directory on the Web before its 2012 rebrand into IgnitePoint.com -- a resource community showing Light Bearers how to ignite their WOW. SheLovesGod.com came along in 2000 and Marnie launched her inspirational writing career through this site.

In 2004, Granite Publishing and Distribution began distributing several of Marnie's inspirational titles including Lord, Are You Sure? Her author friend Marcia Lynn McClure encouraged her to branch into fiction. After pitching the idea for The Patriot Wore Petticoats to her distributor, they suggested she run with it. This novel is based on the true story of Marnie's 4th Great Grandmother, Dicey Langston, a Revolutionary War heroine.

Once Marnie dipped her toe into fiction, she never wanted to leave. Other Southern novels followed including Waltzing with the Light, Rebecca's Reveries, Beyond the Waterfall, Angel and the Enemy, In Love We Trust and two titles in the Granite LoveNotes series, Hannah's Heart and Savannah Nights.

Marnie, who was born and raised in the Chattanooga Tennessee area, is an avid enthusiast of family history. She integrates elements of the places, people and events of her Southern family and heritage into her historical fiction novels. Marnie's life is steeped in Southern history from the little town of Daisy that she grew up in (the setting for Waltzing with the Light) to the 24 acres bordering the famous Chickamauga Battlefield upon which her family resides. The Chickamauga Battlefield inspired Rebecca's Reveries, In Love We Trust and Marnie's BarnesAndNoble.com best-seller Angel and the Enemy (December 2006). Her latest novel An Uncertain Justice is based on a true story about the last legal hanging in Georgia. The victim of the murder (Deputy Sheriff Joseph Morton) was Marnie's 2nd great grandfather.

She also helps other authors get their work in print and create buzz with her three author programs:

Marnie's passion is promoting the principles of Life, Liberty, Love and Learning through speaking, consulting and supporting Light Bearers who are impacting the world in positive and innovative ways.
